PulseO2 Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how PulseO2 ("the App"), for iPhone and Apple Watch, handles information.
Information Collection and Use
The App does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information on behalf of the developer. Your health data and settings stay on your own iPhone and Apple Watch and are never sent to the developer or any third party.
Specifically:
- The App does not require an account or sign-in
- The App does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or identifiers
- The App does not track you across apps or websites
- The App does not upload, back up, or share your health data anywhere
- The App does not contain analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks of any kind
Health Data (Apple Health)
PulseO2 shows the blood oxygen readings that your Apple Watch saves to the Health app. With your permission, it reads the following from Apple Health:
- Blood Oxygen — to show your latest reading, the past 24 hours, overnight summaries, averages, and trends.
- Sleep — only to work out which readings were taken while you slept, for the overnight summary. Sleep data is not displayed or used for anything else.
The App does not write anything to Apple Health. Health data read by the App is never used for advertising or marketing, is never sold, and is never shared with the developer or any third party. You can change or revoke the App's access at any time in the Health app or in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.
iPhone and Apple Watch
The iPhone app sends your readings directly to the PulseO2 app on your paired Apple Watch, using Apple's built-in connection between your own devices, so they can appear in the watch app and on your watch face. Readings are not sent anywhere else.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the App shows a morning summary of your overnight readings. Notifications are created on your iPhone; nothing is sent to or from a server.
Network Access
The App makes no network connections whatsoever. It never sends or receives data over the internet.
Data Storage
To show your readings quickly, including on widgets and watch complications, the App keeps a copy of recent readings on your iPhone and Apple Watch. This copy stays on your devices, is not accessible to the developer, and is removed if you delete the App. Your readings in the Health app are managed by Apple Health and stay there after the App is deleted.
Not a Medical Device
PulseO2 is intended for general fitness and wellness purposes only. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
If the App's functionality changes in a way that affects privacy, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly. Any updates will be reflected by revising the "Last updated" date above.
